Season and Hours of Operation
The Lancaster Swim Center season begins on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend each May and runs through Labor Day Monday in September.
The Lancaster Swim Center is open daily during the season between the hours of 9:00am - 9:00pm EDT, except as noted in the Weather Policy.
Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, the Lancaster Swim Center may be closed without further notice. Inclement weather is defined as weather conditions that create unsafe or unhealthy swimming or poolside environments, including but not limited to lightning or thunder, severe storms, heavy rain reducing visibility or water clarity, high winds, extreme temperatures, or any condition that poses a risk to patrons or staff.
If conditions result in a pool closure after it has opened for the day, anyone currently inside the Swim Center area will be asked to leave the premises immediately until conditions improve and the Swim Center is reopened.
Please always be weather aware.
No Lifeguard on Duty
There is no lifeguard on duty at the Lancaster Swim Center. Anyone using the pools or other parts of the facility does so at their own risk.
The lap pool ranges in depth from 3 feet to 5 feet. Swimmers with limited skills are encouraged to remain in the shallower portions of the pool and not to rely on floation devices.
Swim Center Access
Access to the Lancaster Swim Center is controlled by a key fob. One fob is issued to and activated for each Lancaster single-family home in good standing. If lost, a fee of $25.00 will be charged for a replacement fob.
The homeowner to whom a fob is issued is responsible for the conduct of whoever accesses the Swim Center using the fob.
Homeowners within the Lancaster Towns, Lancaster Villas, Emory Trace, and New Haven communities are also entitled to use the Lancaster Swim Center each year. Homeowners within those communities can inquire with their respective association management for further information or to obtain a fob.
Pool Rules
Safety is everyone's responsibility. A downloadable PDF-format copy of the pool rules is available by clicking here. Anyone accessing and using the Lancaster Swim Center is expected to follow these rules.
